About Dr. Elise Thomson, DC
Founder, Zenvita Chiropractic & Brain Train Center
ZenVita Chiropractic & Brain Train Center was built from a deep focus on the nervous system.
Fifteen years ago, I founded KC Brain Train — one of the first NeurOptimal® neurofeedback centers in the Kansas City area. Through that work, I watched people’s nervous systems shift in real time: sleep improve, stress decrease, focus return, and the body begin to regulate in a way that felt lasting. I not only saw the change in clients but I saw it in myself.
That experience changed how I understood healing.
Over time, I became increasingly interested in the relationship between the brain, body, stress patterns, recovery, and the body’s ability to reorganize when it feels supported and safe. My approach was shaped not only through clinical training and years of NeurOptimal® neurofeedback sessions, but also through a personal understanding of what prolonged stress and nervous system overload can feel like in real life.
That understanding led to the creation of ZenVita Chiropractic & Brain Train Center (KC Brain Train Evolution) an integrated approach combining chiropractic care, NeurOptimal® neurofeedback, recovery-based therapies, and intentional nervous system support into one experience.
Today, my work supports both:
- individuals navigating chronic stress, tension, burnout, or nervous system overload
- student athletes seeking recovery, resilience, and improved performance
Each session is designed to support nervous system regulation first — because when the nervous system shifts out of protection and into restoration, healing - recovery, and performance can follow.
The goal is not to force the body to change.
The goal is to create the conditions where change becomes possible.
