From a Dream to Reality - A Place Called ZenVita

Published on 23 October 2026 at 11:49

There are moments in life when you look around and realize that something you once only imagined has become your reality.I had one of those moments today.

I was reflecting on the evolution of ZenVita and the introduction of my most comprehensive offering yet, ZenVita for the Year. And suddenly, it struck me. This is it!

This is what I dreamed about when I was in chiropractic school.

While I was studying anatomy, physiology and the mechanics of the human body, I was also imagining the kind of practice I wanted to create.

I knew I didn’t want a traditional chiropractic office where people simply came in, received an adjustment and left. I wanted something different.

I envisioned a place where the brain, body and nervous system were approached as interconnected parts of the whole person.

A place where people could slow down, reconnect with themselves and give their bodies the opportunity to recover from the demands of everyday life. A place where care wasn’t simply about addressing discomfort, but about supporting the person experiencing it. And perhaps most importantly, I wanted to create an environment where people felt genuinely cared for.

The Evolution of a Vision

My journey with NeurOptimal® neurofeedback began long before I became a chiropractor. That's a story I'll share in another journal entry.

Over the years, I witnessed how powerful it could be to give the brain information that supports its own capacity for self-regulation.

That experience profoundly influenced the way I began to understand healing.

When I entered chiropractic school, I wasn’t leaving that experience behind. I was building upon it. I wanted to understand the body more deeply. I wanted to bring together what I had learned about the brain and nervous system with the physical and structural aspects of chiropractic care.

As my education and experience expanded, so did my vision. Chiropractic, NeurOptimal® neurofeedback,  somatic approaches such as Spinal Energetics® and the MAP Method®, infrared heat,  recovery and integration.  Not as disconnected services, but as complementary parts of a thoughtful experience. Eventually, that vision became  The ZenVita Healing Arc™️

FEEL. INTEGRATE. REFLECT. RESET.

A process designed to bring these elements together in a way that honors the connection between the body and nervous system.

Something Bigger Than a Single Visit

As ZenVita continued to evolve, I began thinking more deeply about consistency. Meaningful change often takes time.

One wonderful experience can be valuable, but what happens when someone makes caring for their nervous system and physical well-being an ongoing priority? What happens when that commitment becomes part of their life rather than something they turn to only when they’re overwhelmed, exhausted or uncomfortable? Those questions helped shape  ZenVita for the YEAR.

It’s the most comprehensive program I’ve ever created. It brings together the different dimensions of care that I believe in, providing opportunities for ongoing neurofeedback, The ZenVita Healing Arc™️ experiences and chiropractic care throughout the year.

And as the program evolved, I realized something else. Wellness doesn’t happen in isolation.

Our families influence our lives, our stress and our well-being. I wanted to create opportunities for families to experience some of these benefits together while still preserving the consistency and intention behind the program. That evolution made the vision feel even more complete.

Standing Inside the Dream

Today, when I walk through ZenVita, I see more than treatment rooms and equipment.

I see years of learning. I see the experiences that shaped my understanding of healing. I see the countless hours spent studying, questioning, imagining and creating. I see a dream that followed me through chiropractic school and continued to grow long after graduation. And I see a place that reflects what I have believed for a very long time:

We are more than individual symptoms, isolated body parts or separate systems. We are whole people, and the way we care for ourselves should reflect that.

There is still so much I want to accomplish. I have ideas for expanding ZenVita, creating additional experiences and continuing to develop this approach to care. The vision is still growing.

But today, I want to acknowledge something that is easy to overlook when we’re constantly thinking about what comes next.

I created the place I once dreamed of creating.

It’s real. I can walk through its doors. I can welcome people into it. And I can continue building upon it.

That realization fills me with an enormous sense of gratitude. Not because the journey is finished. But because something that once existed only in my imagination now exists in the world.

And perhaps that’s one of the most beautiful things about evolution. Sometimes we become so focused on where we’re going that we forget to recognize where we’ve arrived. Today, I’m recognizing it.

Welcome to ZenVita.

It’s a dream that became a place.

And it’s still becoming.❤️

ZenVita isn't for everyone. But for those who connect with this approach to care, I'm here and I look forward to welcoming you.
